The challenge
Selling a tour is only the start: then come payments, agents, pickups, check-in and manifests. The operation needed all of that in a single system, built around how it works.
What I'm building
A system that brings together the catalog, bookings, payments and daily operations, alongside a public sales site that shares the same database.
- Catalog and availability
- Bookings from every channel
- Wompi payment links
- Agents and commissions
- Departures, pickups and check-in
- Manifests and vouchers
- Promotions and gift cards
- Reports and closings
Key decisions
Operations couldn't stop to adopt the system. Existing products and bookings are imported through a process that can be repeated without duplicating data, and every booking keeps its original code.
Everything runs on Colombia time, with a single formatting layer for dates, times and amounts. In tour bookings, a time zone bug means a customer waiting in the wrong place.
How it helps
Every booking lands in the same place, no matter which channel sold it. The team sees the day's departures, pickups and payments in one panel; agents work from their own portal and customers pay through a link.
It goes live in November 2026.
